We're having a petal snowstorm. :) Big pink petals are blowing off the ornamental crab apple tree, in flurries just like we'd see in wintertime. Not quite the same quantities, but it's still very lovely to see. :)

Reminds me of last month, when tsumicat and I were sitting outside at a cafe. It was chilly, but they had their overhead heaters on. As soon as we were settled in, it began to rain heavily. All of the little green buds/blossoms on the tree began to shower down as well, so much so that the street, sidewalks and some of the outdoor tables were coated in what looked like a carpet of green "snow". It was fabulous to be out in the rain, yet completely protected and warmed. I wish I had had my camera, it was so magical.
