After a long long week, I looked at the mail Sparrow had brought in and found a mailer... addressed to me...

The images simply cannot do the crochet hooks justice. They are gleaming and shiny, two in forest-dark emerald, two in gold-brass, one in that blue you can see in the sky just above the treeline right after the sun has set and black night-time is descending, one in dew-polished ripe cherry, and one in a twilight violet...
My crochet hook case has been pining away for more hooks. I have a habit of starting a project, setting it aside, then the hooks are with the project in a bag someplace, instead of back in the case with a note with the project saying what hook was there. Well, I've just tucked a small sticky-note pad in with those So Lovely hooks, so I won't have the same issue! I simply do *not* want to lose these. I want to be able to open the drab office blue case, and see dazzling brilliant jewels formed into crochet hooks, asking me to please create some more beauty. :)
These hooks are touching my very soul... I am thrilled. :) :)

Date: 2009-04-10 03:39 pm (UTC)I'm making Fawn a very fluffy soft vest, and will be doing a single-crochet border around the collar and a shell pattern around the sides and hem, with the 6.5 mm golden hook. I finally figured out what to do for my funky blue and green variegated legwarmers - make ties with chain stitch out of green yarn, using the 5.0 mm violet hook. I like to hang things on the front door, and have been considering making a little green 'hill' with crocheted flowers, and a few bunnies or mice...
I'm going to love these crochet hooks. :)
